What you'll be doing
Hitachi Vantara is looking for a driven data and reporting analyst to join its Pricing Analytics and Operations team. You will deliver key pricing and profitability analysis, margin-related business insights, and analytical dashboards to enhance organizational understanding of price and profitability.
You will work with and learn from a broad set of internal customers including global pricing operations, sales, marketing, product management, finance, and partner operations, as well as key business owners and stakeholders spanning most levels and functions of the organization.
Successful candidates will have a talent for gathering and presenting large amounts of data in well-formulated, easily consumable, and actionable summary formats, and for automating the delivery of standard analyses to broad audiences.

Key responsibilities and expectations will include:
- Deliver business analysis and reporting, and sharp insights that enable functional leaders to quickly understand and effectively make decisions to manage continuous price and margin improvement and execution across the enterprise
- Gather and verify price, cost, volume, and margin data; apply data governance principles to ensure data cleanliness and integrity
- Organize and analyze customer, product, channel, region-level price and margin data and combine it with tacit knowledge to uncover key price and margin insights
- Develop reports and visualizations to understand business performance and key trends and deliver executive-ready insights at scale
- Apply statistical analysis to understand underlying price / margin trends and drive strategic executive decision-making
- Manage, enhance and maintain reports and visualizations on price, costs, volume, and margin performance to create ongoing relevant and strategic insights
- Play the role of a data steward to manage and govern pricing data definitions, data flows across systems, and drive resolution of pricing data related issues
- Collaborate with team members and execute cross functionally and across geographies
What you bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, preferred or equivalent professional experience in a quantitative discipline performing statistical analysis and analytics delivery
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of proven analytical abilities, previous experience in price / margin analysis and very strong visualization tools skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate with individuals from varying backgrounds and diverse skill sets
- High energy, creative, and self-starting; comfortable with ambiguity and possessing the ability to complete multiple projects on time
- Expert knowledge of data modeling, data visualizations tools and Excel
- Experience with management reporting and executive communication
- Working knowledge of ERP, CRM and CPQ systems, plus PowerBI, SQL, data warehouses and data extraction
