General Manager Finance

Role title: Dy. ARC hub lead - Accounting, Reporting & Controlling 
Reports to:  ARC Hub Lead- Central Hub 
Location: Pune 

Role purpose: 
The Deputy Hub lead of Accounting, Reporting & Controlling will support respective Hub Head of Accounting, Reporting & Controlling in driving and delivering Finance operation agenda for the respective hub markets.  Role has the responsibility to partner and support the Head of Finance Operations to deliver finance strategies & goals for the respective markets/ Hub.  This role is very important to enable Finance strategy and driving our vision towards being co-pilot with HOFO (Dy. HoFO) to deliver world class accounting, reporting and controls environment and drive Finance 2025 strategy for Vodafone Group.
This role engages with Head of Finance Operations & Controls of the respective markets / Hub, Service Delivery head of Accounting, Reporting and Controlling Group Head of Finance Operations & Margin Assurance to provide assurance around financial reporting quality and analysis, accounting judgements and provide support to to deliver world class Finance operation.
Role will take complete ownership of the Monthly financial closure, monthly HFM submission, prepare financial statements, IFRS & Statutory Reporting and controls, Management reporting & compliance.  Person should have business acumen, understanding of contractual arrangement, products and associated technical accounting, Reporting and disclosure requirements.  Role needs to work in close collaboration with LM Finance Operation team and service delivery teams to ensure processes are efficient and delivered,

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

Experience in a project management, functional, matrix/cross locational team management is desirable
Strong communication skills – ability to tell story behind the numbers
Key attributes are the ability to conceptualize, visualize, ideate and “think out of the box”
Ability to put attention to detail and data driven approach
Experience in the Telecom industry is as added advantage
A sound understanding of the absolute necessity of compliance with policies, standards and the criticality of an effective controls framework

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA) with 14 + years of experience in financial accounting and reporting of a global organization
