Responsibilities
• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests• Answers telephone and transmits/receives messages• Answers inquiries about hotel services and travel directions• Operates the Front Office computer system• Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests• Makes and confirms reservations• Posts charges to guest folio• Makes restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations• Deposits guests valuables in hotel safe• Checks out guests and inquires about their stay• Receives and resolves guest complaints• Maintains quality assurance ratings• Coordinates with other departments• Works towards walk-in conversion rate goal• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures• Attends meetings and training
Requirements
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide• General knowledge of computers• Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times
