Achieve shift production as per plan
- supervise the work in the shift to ensure that the same is being performed as per SOPs and monitor process parameters for any corrective action where
required.
- Address deviations and abnormalities as per SOP and escalate the same where required as per laid down norms and inform the next shift in charge.
- Record all the processes as per defined
guidelines.
Optimize resource allocation to improve productivity & reduce cost.
- Ensure that the workmen perform the allocated task as per the SOP and take corrective actions like reallocation of work where required to ensure shift productivity.
- Ensure proper tools & tackles are provided to manpower for achieving higher
productivity.
- Ensure that the raw material is being handled and utilized properly.
- Manage work with available manpower to ensure that the shift operations are not
affected.
Implement desired changes finalized to ensure desired
quality.
- Ensure that any corrective and preventive action taken for addressing customer complaint is effectively communicated to workmen and followed in the unit
- Proper upkeep of machine and work place to maximize availability of machines
- For preventive maintenance, handover the machine following SOPs to the maintenance team and takeover the same post maintenance after proper testing.
- Training workmen on Self maintenance of machines to ensure longer upkeep time of machines.
- Supervise replacement in line equipment with standby equipment, where available
- Raise the job order for maintenance of the failed
equipment.
Ensure safety during the shift working to minimize man-days
lost.
- Monitor the workmen to ensure that they are following the safety procedure, record any incidences, near misses and initiate the standard process in case of any incident or injury coordinating with concerned departments and authorities.
- Provide PPE, create awareness through safety
talks.
- Supervise effluent and waste handling and discharge as per laid down norms and handle any leakage or abnormal situation as per the standard procedures and safety norms
Handle people issues to ensure harmonious shop floor environment
- Report any indiscipline, absenteeism etc. to the concerned authorities
