The management team and consultants working for Antara Senior Care are a mix of leaders from various professional backgrounds operating in the fields of finance, strategy, hospitality, healthcare, operations and senior living.

JOB PURPOSE Why does this role exist in the organization?

  1. To ensure that residents are provided with drinks and food when requested and offered these when appropriate to ensure nest dining experience.
  2. To ensure the Restaurant service is always at a quality whilst preserving a level of resident privacy.
  3. To complete all cleaning and preparation to ensure a smooth service always.

To prepare and carry out Food And Beverage service to residents in a courteous and efficient manner. This includes offering table service to residents, regularly checking the floor, this includes all lounges, the gardens and the spa. This will also include preparing and delivering room service trays as and when required.

To assist in the preparation of mise en place for service as required, in accordance with the required community Standards.

To keep back of house, restaurants, bar, lounge areas and gardens tidy at all times and to regularly clean all associated equipment.

Preparing duty roster, attendance and store requisitions.

Pour all drinks to the recommended legal standard (correct measure) in the appropriate glassware.

Check identification of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

Assist the Assistant Manager Cuisine services to ensure the smooth operation Cuisine department, and management of Cuisine operations to achieve customer satisfaction and quality of service

To notify the Manager if you observe a particular item of stock is running low.

To attend training sessions and courses and to assist with the on-the-job training of new team member, as required.

To handle minor complaints in a professional and courteous manner and to provide appropriate solutions. To immediately inform the Restaurant Manager of all cases. To forward solutions and suggestions to eradicate complaints and other comments from residents to the Restaurant Manager.

To ensure that all food & beverage items served at a quality and recorded in an appropriate manner in order that residents may be charged, and to operate a cash bar as and when required.

Identify departmental learning and development needs for all team members of Cuisine services and share those with the manager.

To read all relevant company literature, notices and other correspondence and to regularly observe community and departmental noticeboards.

To uphold good housekeeping practices, ensuring a safe, clean, tidy and pleasant working environment.

To ensure the proper care and security of resident items, community equipment, stock, furniture and fixtures, reporting malfunction or theft to the Restaurant Manager, immediately, and in the case of all maintenance issues, record it in the maintenance book, which is found in reception.

To assist in keeping operating costs to a minimum by efficient and responsible use of resources such as electricity, water, linen, stationery, cleaning materials, china, glassware, silver and other equipment.

To comply with all Community and Company policies and procedures.

To comply with statutory requirements regarding the work place such as employment law, health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention, etc.

As a supervisor you will be a role model, sharing your expertise and continually inspiring the front office team.

To carry out any other reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the community.

Supervise and coordinate that all outlet equipment and utensils are kept in good conditions by proper day to day handling of all applicable utensils and by assuring that side duties are carried out as assigned.

To maintain and organize appropriate stock levels and ensure sufficient inventory for daily usage. Following up with daily and weekly requisitions as requested by the outlet manager.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualification:

Craft course in Food & beverage / 10th, HSC pass.

Years of Experience:

1-2 years in similar position

Functional Skills:

To ensure that standards of food & beverage service community are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of Residents satisfaction in food & beverage service. Able to speak and write in basic English with the residence.

  • minimum age requirement of 21 years
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Ability to understand guest needs and to deliver superior customer service.
  • numeracy and cash-handling skills
