The Controller will provide strategic and operational direction to the finance thus enabling the achievement of the organizational objectives. This position will drive accurate preparation of the book of accounts and its timely reporting, develop robust financial/ accounting systems and processes across the organization, implement good corporate governance policies and risk mitigation practices, and develop strong relationships within the finance team across group companies in India and the US.
What you'll do:
- Develop finance organizational strategies and functional objectives to achieve organizational objectives and manage risks.
- Overall management of all day-to-day operations of Finance & Accounting with internal financial control systems and proactively addressing any identified gaps.
- Reviewing, formulating, and implementing financial processes, policies, and procedures.
- Ensuring that all transactions are within the delegation of authority and Board approved policies.
- Managing all Direct and Indirect Tax accounting, compliances, and tax planning.
- Review and signing off on the monthly payrolls of all the entities.
- Reviewing all commercial and other legal contracts and RFPs from finance perspective
- Month close reporting within 5 working days with consolidated financials as per Ind AS and US GAAP.
- Managing the external audit and the finalization of audited financial statements in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including FCRA financials and compliance for section 8 company.
- Managing the banking arrangements.
- Leading the implementation of the system integration and new modules in financial accounting system with NetSuite environment
Who we're looking for:
- Chartered Accountant with minimum 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and tax (incl.at least 5 years as Finance Controller or Head of Finance & Accounting)
- Should be well versed in Ind AS and US GAAP accounting and reporting.
- Additional experience of accounting for NPO as per FCRA is preferred.
- A very hands-on approach and experience is essential to this role.
- Ability to work efficiently and lead in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to simplify matters to enable quick understanding of issues and enable quick decision-making.
- Ability to multitask and be well organized.
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- High degree of personal resilience and integrity
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to present to the management.
