Job: Financial Controllership
Position Summary:
This position will be based at Chandigarh and reports to CFO. This Person would be responsible for End to End Controllership - Accounting & Reporting, Corporate Governance, Treasury & Banking, Cash Flow management & Control, System Control & Automation, Secretarial & Tax Compliance, Audit Closure, Payroll finance
Professional/Technical Accreditations
CA with 12-15 yrs of experience preferably from Pharma/FMCG setup Knowledge of SAP-FICO/ MS Excel / MS Word / Power-Point Understanding of Direct & Indirect Taxes i.e. Income Tax/TDS / GST Knowledge of INDAS & IFRS
Roles and Responsibilities:
Accounting
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with IGAAP & applicable Ind-AS Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)
- Manage and comply with all regulatory reporting requirements.
- Lead the monthly close process and financial reporting to management
- Leading the ERP implementation project along various automation projects in Finance
- Leading a team of 6-10 employees and ensure high performance
- Support the Leadership team in developing and delivering the organization's financial and business strategy
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
Treasury
- Forecast cash flow positions, borrowing needs, and available funds for investments.
- Identify various triggers to optimize working capital and interest costs - ensure WC availability is maintained and necessary reporting and compliance to the banks, investors and management is done on regular basis Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple banks who are the financing partners
- Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational & capital investments and the covenant compliance in accordance with financing agreements.
- Effectively manage counterparty risk and explore avenues for yield maximization with minimal / no risk on the capital
- Identification of negative carry and opportunities for eliminating / reducing it to the extent possible
- Maintain an efficient system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
- Ensure working capital management is effective and Extending support for ensuring efficiencies of international cash management.
Risk Management
- Monitor the insurance policies and reviewing Insurance proposals of various Insurers to identify the one beneficial to the Company & finalizing the same for local policies.
- Maintaining an Insurance Tracker for timely renewal & charging off to P/L.
- Responsible for getting the claim processed from Insurers with inputs from respective functions, in case of any mishap.
- Implementation of IFC & its regular testing for controls & statutory audit.
Audit
- Co-Ordination Liaison with Statutory Auditors & Tax Auditors for timely completion of Audit.
- Responsible for providing information required by Auditors.
- Responsible for complying with Accounting Standards, Companies Act & other statutory regulation in relation to Statutory & Tax Audit.
- Review of Form 3CD, Financial Statements including disclosures before adoption by Board & filing of the same with statutory authorities.
- Review of Management Representation Letters & Engagement Letters with the Auditors.
- Implementation of INDAS or any other change impacting Audit.
Direct Taxation
- Responsible for filing of Income Tax & MAT Returns, TDS Returns & other statutory filings.
- Reviewing the Tax Returns & other statutory returns prepared by consultants
- Responsible for computation & payment of Advance Tax within due date.
- Responsible for managing Income Tax Litigation tracker & contingent liability.
- Responsible for providing necessary support and assistance to our external partners for closing TDS related matters.
Accounts Payable
- Responsible for smooth functioning of Accounts Payable process for both Vendors & Employees
- Responsible for all statutory requirement with regard to foreign payment like arranging Form 15CA/CB, 195 Order etc.
- Responsible for resolving Invoice discrepancies and vendor related issues
- Monthly Review & Monitoring of AP Open Item Reports
- Drive process initiatives for Accounts Payable to achieve effective W/C Reviewing & improving AP process to bring in efficiencies.
- Reviewing & managing Vendor creation/updation/modification/extension in SAP.
Payroll
- Responsible for timely & accurate processing of Payroll to all full time employees.
- Responsible for timely & accurate processing of F&F to all exited employees.
- Ensuring adherence to compliance to PF, TDS, NPS, LWF, P.Tax.
- Budgeting/Forecasting of People Cost during Budgeting & Estimates & variance analysis.
- Responsible for audits related to payroll like Stat Audit & Internal Audit.
- Co-ordination with Payroll Vendor when implemented
