About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance, Accounts, & Taxation India Head to lead our client financial operations in India. Resource will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance, accounting, taxation, compliance, and FEMA/Forex matters, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the companys overall growth strategy.
Applicant must be a Qualified CA and must be open to travel as required.
Must possess excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance, accounts, and taxation team, providing direction and ensuring effective performance.
- Oversee the entire financial accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll.
- Manage statutory compliance related to accounting, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement effective internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage relationships with statutory auditors and tax authorities.
- Lead and manage FEMA/Forex transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Manage and optimize cash flow.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
- Minimum of 10 years of experience post qualification in finance, accounts, and taxation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS), taxation laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in FEMA/Forex regulations and compliance.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a finance team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and accounting software.
