Objectives of the Position
- Plan and execution of new color development for specific customer and evaluation of new color material under the superior’s direction.
Main Tasks
- Execute the color development & color styling for specific customer.
- Execute Color Matching, duplication of unknow color with the target panel or mood board made by competitors under superior’s direction.
- Execute color styling, new color creation without certain target panel from customer under superior’s direction.
- Efficiency of shade matching need to track – No. of submission for shade submission needs to improve.
- Right first time OK rate needs to be improved by 25 %
- Improve profitability.
- Operate new color development based on technical guideline of pigmentation under superior’s direction.
- Support ISO9001 activity related Color team under the direction of Tech Manager.
- Form the best team.
- Provide technical leadership and technical guide to other junior team members.
- Well communicate with Customization team member and related sections like RKA/SCM/Production/Development/RBU.
- Bruch up one’s expertise and contribute to strengthen company’s overall technological competence.
- EHS compliance
- Ensure and foster EHS, Compliance of BASF guideline, Code of conduct, Values and principle
- Support ISO9001 & IATF 16949 activity related to Color team under the direction of Tech Manager.
- Carry out 5S activities and keep no accident /incident and injury in the work place
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
- Education: B tech / M Tech in polymer science / Chemical engineering / M Sc. / Diploma in Surface coatings
- Working Experience (min required exp.): 3- 5 years’ experience in automotive coating development
- Technical & Professional Knowledge: Worked on color designer or color development
