Position Title: Engineer-Design (Electrical)
Job Location: Bangalore, KA-India
The Electrical Design engineer role is accountable for delivering the NPI program objectives to meet the division’s product line’s requirements.
Job description:
Key areas of responsibility encountered in this role may include any or all of the following:
Plays a key role in the overall genset electrical package development, integration and application.
Performs electrical design and supports in the integration activities to ensure all requirements are met with regards to Quality, Velocity and Cost.
Takes ownership of technical deliverables to ensure high quality deliverables.
Works closely with cross-functional team in supplier collaboration of components.
Understand technical requirements and creatively solves engineering problems
This position provides a platform for growth and leadership skills development.
Incumbent will work closely with diverse cross functional team to develop world class engineering solutions for our global products while gaining increased business management skills.
Required Qualification:
Proven design experience in the design and development of electrical systems related to control panel design, Component selection and placement, Wiring harness, Schematics development.
5+ years hands on experience with various tools and processes like: CREO, Team centre, Genset Controllers Part number creation and release process
Experience of Diesel / Gas genset or similar automobile/machine products design, development, testing and certifications.
Understanding of International standards like ISO8528, UL2200, UL489
Must have thorough knowledge of the design and working of one or more of the following- AC Generators (Alternators), Voltage Regulators, Genset Controllers, Circuit Breakers, Digital & Analog I/O modules and communication protocols (CAN, ethernet, RS232).
Must be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with more than 9-11 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree in electrical engineering with 7 to 9 years of relevant experience.
