Job Summary:

Experience on basic and detailed design and project co-ordination of Electrical works on Chip Manufacturing units, Data centers and Buildings/utility projects. Has a good knowledge of Electrical System and Physical design, the principles, and practices of related technical areas and of coordinating with other technical disciplines. Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices.

Candidates who have worked on German Standards like DIN/VDE shall have added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Performs electrical discipline work which involves the preparation, interpretation or review of calculations, specifications, electrical layout plans including lighting and grounding systems.
• Participates in one or more of the following:
• Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL)
• Equipment design and development
• System design, including concept sketches and layouts
• Preparation of specifications and design calculations
• Reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers or by suppliers
• Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports
• Preparation or review of material quantity estimates
• Uses engineering computer aided design/computer aided engineering (CAD/CAE) tools
• Reviews design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors of a moderate degree of complexity and prepares comments & recommendations.
• Assists in preparation of forecasts, quantity take-offs and change orders.
• Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon directness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A recognized bachelor’s/master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited college or university with an overall experience of minimum 3 years.
• Site experience will be an added advantage.

Job Knowledge:

• Extensive Knowledge of electrical systems related to equipment like TFF system, Sterilization Autoclave, Depth filtration system, Single-use Bioreactors, Chromatography columns, PFS Filling Machine, Vial Filling line, Chromatography Skid, Chillers, Cold-rooms, Air handling Units, WFI Tank and Distribution system and PW Tank and Distribution
• Should have experience in design of Sterile area / Clean room Equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical system studies and conversant with short circuit, load flow, motor starting & voltage drop calculations, main single line diagram, protection & metering diagrams, relay setting & protection coordination of the system, UPS and Emergency Diesel Generator Sizing, Underground cable sizing, Grounding.
• Should have worked on equipment sizing, specifications, MR preparation, technical bid evaluation and vendor print reviews of various electrical equipment like Switchyards, Transformer, Busduct, MV & LV Switchgear, MCCs, DC systems / UPS, Cables, lighting fixtures.
• Should possess good knowledge of international codes & standards.
• Design, Engineering and interface of Building Power Management which includes controlling and monitoring of Building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as HVAC, lighting, power systems, fire systems, access control and security systems.
• Should be conversant with electrical layouts like raceways, lighting, grounding & lightning protection, layouts etc.
• Review of 3D Model Autodesk Revit using SPR or Navisworks and be a stakeholder in 30%, 50% and 90% Model Reviews with Client, Vendor and Sub Contractors.
• Working knowledge of software like EASYPOWER/ETAP/SPEL shall be preferred.
