Job Title: EHS Officer (Environmental, Health, and Safety) - Civil Construction

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Officer with a background in civil construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the civil construction industry, with a strong educational foundation in environmental safety (B.Sc/M.Sc in Environment Safety or related field). Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the Gulf region. The primary responsibility of the EHS Officer will be to oversee and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards in civil construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, policies, and permits applicable to civil construction projects. Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop strategies to minimize environmental risks.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment for all personnel involved in civil construction projects. Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments related to environmental and safety hazards in construction activities. Develop risk mitigation strategies and provide recommendations to project teams.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs on environmental awareness, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance for construction personnel. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of environmental monitoring, safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities as required.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for environmental incidents and workplace accidents. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and effective response to emergencies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving environmental performance and safety practices in civil construction projects. Implement best practices and initiatives to enhance EHS standards across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Health, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, preferably in the civil construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, safety standards, and best practices applicable to construction projects.
  • Professional certifications in environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor) will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and environmental management software.
  • Prior experience working in the Gulf region will be preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Salary: ₹150,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month
