Job Description

The purpose of position is to define & drive logistics standards for packaging using green supply chain approach. Also, Drive Logistics Cost & inventory to the benchmark level

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) with 5-10 years experience

Preferably Post Graduation in Business Administration (Supply chain)

Preferably certifications from Indian Institute of Packaging (Certified Packaging Engineer)

Skill / Competencies Requirements

In depth knowledge of Supply chain, Packaging and Controlling Knowledge of various packaging materials, new trends in packaging, Rust protection knowledge

Hands-on experience on various tools used for Logistics Cost & Inventory Controlling

Basic ERP skills like SAP, Pack Assistant, PCC, PackIT, Label printing software, MM module, WILCO Tool, Cargo Tool, Travis

Expertise in packaging know how (Knowledge of various testings required for packaging validation)

Monitoring tools for Logistics Cost & Inventory Hands of experience in lean manufacturing like BPS or TPS, LMM Effective communication skills

- Product Packaging (Concept, Design, Validation and Implementation).
- Grant packaging approvals to the suppliers, customers & internal empties
- Represent sustainability in Logistics Community
- Motivate team towards sustainability (Go Green Supply Chain)
- Conserve environment (initiate projects for corrugation, wood and plastic optimization)
- Monitor and control packaging cost
- Participate in International Packaging Conventions organized by GS/PSD
- Contribute for Inventory control in the supply chain
- Defining the measures for controlling Logistics Cost (Driving RPP to reduce TLC at plant)
- Authorize Legal/Metro logical requirement in packaging and labelling
- Monitoring and publishing Logistics Cost & Inventory
- 9 Field Matrix (9 FM) & Inventory & Logistics Cost Schedule (ILCS) : SPOC for 9 FM & ILCS between plant & PS/LO)
- Promote cost savings culture in Logistics
- Foresee inventory optimization challenges & envision optimized supply chain design
- Contribute for Inventory control in the supply chain
- Assign top down targets of inventory and logistics cost
- Strengthen BPS in Logistics
- Establish innovative ways of inventory and Logistics Cost optimization
- Estimate annual Logistics cost and Inventory for business plan roll out
- Assess bad stock & conduct periodic reviews to notify the required actions for controlling
