About the team-
FIS is building a community of engineers to develop and then commoditize a catalog of enterprise-wide consumable products that can easily and repeatably be scaled and deployed across our global Merchant Cloud & Automation Services (MCAS) architecture. The products you develop will help drive our organization towards our strategic principle Cloud First and our successes will be measured through the continued adoption of our MCAS products and services. Operating within a collaborative SAFe environment, we aim to deliver effective solutions focused on business value.
What you will be doing?
Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in the core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on systems application.
• May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results.
• Will deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
- 13 plus years of experience in software development with a minimum of 3 plus years of architecture experience.
- Experience in .Net Core, .Net Standard, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, Web API
- Experience with orchestration frameworks. We use Microsoft Service Fabric and Azure, but a lot of the concepts in Kubernetes are similar.
- Cloud Native application design experience.
- Strong understanding with DevOPS techniques including Continuous Exploration, Integration, Deployment
- Automating.
- Strong understanding of modern development techniques and processes such as Test Driven Development, Domain Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture.
- Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
- Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
- Develops conceptual solutions for business problems and then communicates them with the development teams to flesh out research and implementation features to realize the solution.
- Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on systems application.
- May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results.
- May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audience
- Knowledge of the payment services industry is good to have.
- Knowledge of end-to-end agile systems development life cycles
- Knowledge of payment practices, regulations, and operations within the assigned line(s) of business
- In-depth understanding of design patterns and their application
- Knowledge of developing and understanding sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
