Responsibilities:
- eScription Product Development is looking for an experienced software architect to provide technical leadership for the design and development of server and client software components for eScription’s current and next generation products serving the medical community. This person will be a key member of the technical staff.
- Provide technical leadership and participate in the design and development of complex, scalable, enterprise applications.
- Work with team members to design, develop, improve, maintain, and support server and client components that adhere to modern standards.
- Evangelize and mentor peers on enterprise application development strategies, technologies, techniques, tools and guidelines. Guide the adoption of new technologies.
- Define enterprise server patterns and advocate for consistency across the suite of applications.
- Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices.
- Perform peer design and code reviews.
- Keep current with technology development within the industry and bring fresh ideas to the table.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical leadership role in a software development team; 12 years' combined work experience preferred.
- Experience with designing and implementing complex, high volume, mission critical commercial hosted and client-server enterprise systems and applications.
- Experience with a variety of Java technologies and .NET technologies.
- Excellent understanding of enterprise architecture and best practices.
- Excellent understanding of design patterns and object oriented programming.
- Strong programming experience.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
- Ability to mentor development team members including more junior developers.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to Speech recognition Technologies is a plus
- Experience within the medical software industry is a plus
