Digital Marketing Executive 

Mumbai, India

 

We are DNEG, one of the world's leading visual effects and animation companies for feature film and television, with worldwide offices and studios across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Social Media Executive to join our growing team in Mumbai. You will play a key role in developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies to promote our movie productions and increase brand visibility, awareness, and market share for DNEG, ReDefine, Prime Focus and JAM8 in India.

This position is based in Mumbai and requires full-time on-site work.

Working as part of the global Marketing & Communications team and reporting to the Senior Manager - Marketing & Communications in India, you will be responsible for:

Movie Production Projects - Specific Social Media:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies for individual movie production projects, including creating unique content calendars, scheduling posts across platforms, and analysing performance data to optimise engagement and reach.

  • Collaborate closely with film production teams to understand each project's core message, target audience, and overall marketing objectives, ensuring social media content aligns effectively.

  • Craft engaging and interactive content that drives excitement and anticipation for upcoming movies, fostering a strong online community.

  • Monitor and analyse online conversations and sentiment around each movie throughout its production and release, providing valuable insights for future marketing efforts.

Company-Wide Social Media Management:

  • Manage the social media presence and follower base across all platforms for DNEG, ReDefine, Prime Focus, and Jam8. This includes responding to comments and messages, engaging with audiences, and proactively monitoring online conversations.

  • Define, design, and implement comprehensive digital and social media campaigns and strategies across the company's online platforms, encompassing websites, internal communication channels, and various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, VIMEO, and newly launched channels).

  • Identify relevant topics and subjects to create impactful promotional campaigns that support the company's business goals. This involves conducting research, developing creative ideas, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, crafting engaging content, executing campaigns across platforms, and measuring their effectiveness.

  • Manage the content calendar, advising the team on optimal posting times to maximise engagement and coordinating content with industry and global events.

  • Commission and create compelling video, audio content, and artwork tailored for use across the company's diverse online channels, ensuring high-quality visuals and engaging copy.

Website Management and Analysis:

  • Maintain and manage the websites and online portals for all companies, including ensuring up-to-date information, news, blog posts, show information, and other relevant materials.

  • Play a key role in website development and improvement, proposing enhancements and contributing to future redevelopments.

  • Provide comprehensive analysis and insightful reports on all online and social media channels, reviewing and monitoring activity, identifying trends, and offering recommendations for improvement.

  • Recommend and implement social media management platforms that enhance efficiency and effectiveness of online engagement and social media interactions.

  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance and development of a dynamic and engaging digital presence across all platforms for the company.

 

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience developing and executing impactful social media strategies and content across various SM platforms.

Must Have

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, ideally within the film or creative/entertainment industry

  • A degree in a relevant field

  • Experience owning and delivering projects from start to finish, co-ordinating both internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment, responding calmly and effectively 

  • Strong knowledge of Digital Marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.

  • Experience of managing company websites and using industry standard CMS

  • Highly self motivated and comfortable operating in a stand-alone role while continuing to work effectively on your own initiative

  • Experience briefing and creating promotional content – both written and filmed 

  • Experience building relationships with key members of internal teams to ensure delivery of materials for marketing and publicity purposes in a timely manner

  • Good general IT skills and knowledge of Mac software, Photoshop, In-Design and Illustrator

  • Experience with B2B marketing
