Key Responsibilities:
Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:
- Actively identify and cultivate investment opportunities in growth-stage deals and early-stage SMEs.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to assess viability and potential.
- Evaluate investments through rigorous financial projections and risk assessments.
Due Diligence and Investment Analysis:
- Lead comprehensive due diligence on potential portfolio companies.
- Analyze financial models and market trends to inform robust investment decisions.
- Prepare and present detailed investment notes and proposals to the investment committee.
Deal Structuring and Negotiation:
- Negotiate terms and structure deals, managing term sheets and shareholders agreements.
- Coordinate with various teams for seamless deal closure and fund disbursement.
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee and optimize the current investment portfolio, setting performance KPIs.
- Provide strategic guidance to portfolio companies, aiding in growth and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategic exit plans to maximize investment returns.
Training and Team Development:
- Mentor and coach junior team members in deal sourcing, due diligence, and investment analysis.
- Implement structured feedback cycles and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify external training resources and opportunities.
Investor Relations and Fundraising:
- Lead fundraising initiatives and maintain robust investor relationships.
- Participate in investor meetings and networking events to represent the family office.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field from a reputed institute.
- Industry Experience: 5-7 years experience in venture capital, investment banking, or private equity, focusing on early-stage technology investments.
- Analytical Skills: Expertise in financial modeling and valuation.
- Communication Proficiency: Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Networking: Well-established network in the startup and venture capital community.
- Collaborative Approach: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Investment Track Record: Proven track record of successful investments in early-stage companies.
