What you’ll do:

As a Data Scientist at Urban Company, you will hold a critical role in elevating our data-driven capabilities and influencing the direction of our product development and business strategies. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.

• Developing and implementing advanced machine learning models to address complex problems, such as inventory planning, matchmaking and recoveries.

• Presenting your findings, insights, and data-driven recommendations to senior management, influencing strategic decision-making at the highest level.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, business teams, and marketing, to implement models and monitor outcomes

• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

• Taking the lead in quantifying the business impact of potential projects and identifying significant opportunities for growth.

What we need:

BS/MS in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related field.

We're looking for someone with 1-3 years of experience with following expertise:

• Knowledge and experience in ML techniques - GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, Neural Networks, Deep Learning.

• Experience with languages - Python, Tensorflow, Pytorch

• Excellent SQL skills and the ability to use tools such as Python to work efficiently at scale with large data sets

• Advanced knowledge of statistics and design of experiments and analysis

• Experience with Cloud computing tools - Sagemaker

• Experience with Model Deployment Frameworks - Flask, Gunicorn

• Self-driven with the ability to work in a self-guided manner

• Superb communication and organization skills.
