Job Description

Total Experience : 8 to 10 Years


Must Have Skills:


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with databases or data files.
  • Must have investigative or debugging mindset.
  • Level 3 skills on applicable software
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Detail oriented, organized, and forward thinking
  • Experience with database marketing and direct marketing a plus
  • Ability to work in a team.

Good to have Skills: 


  • Aware of any one of the programming languages like – C, C++, Java, Python

Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintains and update JIRA tickets.
  • Contributes to a high-quality technology solution as evidenced by audits and results
  • Identifies solution/production improvements and efficiencies to benefit clients and Merkle, and is able to drive them to implementation
  • Practical application of relational database concepts or flat file sequential processing
  • Practical application of file management concepts (sftp, encryption/decryption)
  • Solid understanding of ETL concepts  (server or mainframe)
  • Practical application of job scheduling concepts (like Tidal)
  • Understands and implements file management strategies, including transmission, encryption, vendor management.
  • Understands & can implement data loading and validation concepts
  • Ability to provide level 2 tool support, including engine restarts,server/platform reboots, password resets, etc.
  • QC/Validation, including pre- & post-file processing, database qc, and maintenance of internal/external QC reports
  • Able to provide value-add triage (level 2/3)
  • Collaboratively creates production runbook & calendar with development, and maintains post-production. 
  • Provide release management oversight, including verification of backup plans, sufficient testing, and movement of code into test & prod environments
  • Ability to participate in/drive post-production post-mortems
  • Ability to identify risks in a pre-production audit/review
  • Field and process ad-hoc requests, including data research, appends, analysis
  • Act as liaison for client requests/concerns, including client connectivity issues (tools, servers, AD maintenance), and extract/campaign/report failures   
  • Experience successfully managing production clients
  • Maintains appropriate documentation may include an Operations runbook, Operations calendar, and operations error log
  • Independent individual contributor. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload and adapt to changing business conditions.
  • Outcomes     - 100% accurate and on time delivery under tight deadlines
  • Builds professional / trusting client relationships
  • Creates clear / precise detailed job instructions and drives process improvements
  • Relationships- Will interact regularly with clients, third-party vendors, and a wide range of internal Merkle teams (including Quality Assurance, Campaign Management, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Developers, Project Managers) to support the transition and ongoing maintenance of the solution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university
  • 3 - 4 years’ experience in a production support role
  • Qualified individuals possess the Merkle attributes of being smart, curious, committed to vision, passionate, fun/pleasant, an achiever and having a sense of urgency.
