SalaryAs a VP within the OTC Drafting team, you exhibit depth & breadth of knowledge regarding OTC Derivative Legal documentation, ISDA guidelines & lifecycle expertise. You drive programs or initiatives in partnership with partners Legal, Front office and operations and continuously improve control infrastructure to ensure risk is correctly booked in the system to meet regulatory requirements.
80% - Interpret ISDA Legal documentation, understand in-house product models to create accurate legal documentation based on Risk Management system bookings & ISDA standards
20% - Projects Management
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading the OTC Drafting team & assisting in delivery within the SLA which involves:
- Deliver issuance of Legal confirmations and understand legal aspects relating to Derivatives confirmations.
- Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements for new bespoke legal templates.
- Interpret ISDA Legal documentation, in-house product models to create Legal documentation based on Risk Management system bookings
- Independently create bespoke Legal documentation based on ISDA templates, Term Sheet working with Trading and Legal to ensure no commercial impacts
- Establish productive working relationships with Tech, FO, MO to drive mutual beneficial outcomes
- Drive Efficiency in the current process and identifying incorrect booking practice and educate peripheral teams on the impact
- Drives Root cause analysis when issues arise / recurring discrepancies identified and implements solutions.
- Prepares standard and ad hoc management reports and presentations
- Participate in various new business initiatives related to system enhancement, project implementation and new business initiatives
- Independently develops value-adding business solutions
- Lead projects – Global/Local relating to upstream tactical /strategic fixes
Qualifications
- Graduate or Post-Graduate with 10+ years’ experience in Financial Operations
- Equity Derivative product knowledge of Structured & Exotic Derivatives along with strong financial proficiency on ISDA Legal Language
- Expert EDG OTC product knowledge & product lifecycle expertise
- Well versed with industry changes - Regulatory reforms, Libor Decommission
- Project Management
