AddressJob Description
As a Data Modeler, you will be responsible for working with key business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects to model current and new data as the primary skill. Your typical day will involve working with Snowflake, Sql-Sever, and Matillion to develop and maintain data models.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Kimball and Inmon approaches and the core differences
- Experience in data modeling principles/methods including conceptual, logical & physical Data Models
- Extensively used Star Schema methodologies in building & designing logical models.
- Ability to translate a logical model into a physical model (reverse engineering), adding appropriate physical objects needed to create the database
- Create/expand the existing Star Schema especially building Facts, Dimension, slowly changing dimension ( Type 1,2,3).
- Strong Understanding and implementation experience on a grain of facts, factless facts, type of facts, and fact table types.
- Strong Understanding and implementation experience in Dimensions, denormalization of Dimensions ( Snowflake to Star), Confirmed dims, Role-playing dims, Outriggers, and mini dimensions.
- Strong Understanding and implementation experience in ER modeling.
- Build aggregates on top of facts to meet performance SLAs.
- Hands-on experience in SQL DBM tool, and Snowflake database.
