Job description

Shalom World Catholic Family channel shares the peace of Christ through its television network. Shalom World collaborates with various media companies to bring quality faith-based programming for all ages to viewers across the globe.
We are looking for someone excited about the mission and willing to work in acquiring content, for Shalom World TV, which can lead viewers to Catholic Faith. The Content Acquisition Executive should possess an evangelistic zeal and approach all programming with the vision and mission of the channel.
Responsibilities:
  • Support all stages of Content Acquisition operations through research, identifying, and performing a basic evaluation of the content

  • Coordinate the file transfer, related activities, and acquiring the rights for the best new, original and viable entertainment suitable for our audience

  • Review the final version of the program prior to the television broadcast

  • Ensure that all programs are ready for broadcast per schedule

  • Verify and confirm whether the company is in compliance with required licenses

  • Obtain and submit license renewals to management for processing

  • Manage calendars, arrange meetings and appointments for discussions

Skills

  • Detail-oriented and committed; you must be up for the challenge and willing to go the extra mile to process the content for scheduling
  • Good understanding of the English language and fluency in English
  • Experience/knowledge in TV channel operations and broadcast activities is preferred
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
  • Work closely with colleagues in other departments and locations to coordinate Content Acquisition activities
  • Ability to understand, process, and coordinate documentation work related to various departments of the organization
  • Possess a deep understanding of local as well as international content eco-system and operating structures of the content business
  • Excellent relationship management, interpersonal communication skills, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with the firm-specific programs and software
  • Should be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents
