Job Title: Consultant - Social Media Specialist (Contract for 12 months & extendable)

Work Location: Bangalore

This role is based within the Electromechanical group for the division AMETEK Engineered Materials, Interconnects & Packaging which consists of 4 business units: AMETEK Specialty Metal Products, AMETEK Engineered Interconnects & Packaging, AMETEK Components & Wire and AMETEK Engineered Medical Components. All four business units house longstanding and leading brands that are recognized experts in their field.


All materials and components manufactured in these four business units serve the most critical applications covering industries ranging from ground-breaking space missions to innovative electric vehicles electronics, from deep sea oil exploration to life-saving medical devices.


This is a unique opportunity to join the division AMETEK Engineered Materials, Interconnects & Packaging dynamic and growing marketing team to increase our digital and integrated marketing capabilities globally. We are looking for team member with a methodical, attention to detail, go-getter aptitude who has great understanding the value of data to strategy decisions and to support campaign for maximum high quality leads and ROI.


If you are an experienced tech-savvy digital marketer with focus on digital asset creation, live on Social Media, love to grow communities that engage in content and create strategy for growth based on data then this role provides endless opportunities for growth and challenge.


Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and manage market, product, and target group-specific and performance-oriented online, Social Media marketing campaigns for a high-tech B2B engineering.
  • Map out a comprehensive Social Media marketing plan with editorial calendar for all four BUs.
  • Plan, create, publish and share new content (including original text, images, video, and infographics) that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness, and encourages community members to engage with the brand.
  • Manage the day-to-day handing of all Social Media channels with prime focus on LinkedIn, followed by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google My Business, YouTube and Vimeo including adapting content to suit different channels.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to recommend, develop and execute Social Media campaigns that convert.
  • Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and Social Media best practices to measure the success of every Social Media campaign. Make data-informed decisions to optimize and develop future campaigns.
  • Be the advocate for the businesses and associated brands via Social Media channels. Engage and connect with the audience and answer questions where appropriate. Liaise with relevant departments for input.
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.
  • Design or guide creation of Social Media graphics, infographics, text, post copy, videos, landing pages for engaging show-stopping content across all corporate channels
  • Planning and implementation of effective, ROI-delivering paid LinkedIn campaigns
  • Monitor SEO and customer engagement and suggest content optimization.
  • Monitor and share effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.
  • Monthly reporting on set KPIs that demonstrate results (ROI)
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company. Report notable threats to appropriate management.
  • Follow ongoing education and training to remain highly effective.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Social Media best practices and technologies and participate in knowledges sharing sessions to highlight latest trends and updates for the full team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Successfully completed degree in Marketing, Communications, New Media, Public Relations or similar training in Digital Marketing specific to Social Media and community management.
  • Communications professional with minimum 5 years’ experience in digital marketing with a focus on high-quality content creation in long and short-form also used in Social Media. Experience in technology-focussed b2b, technology and engineering is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in Social Media (give links to profiles as examples). Experience working on key Social Media platforms such as LinkedIn (essential), Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo and thorough understanding how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Knowledge of the blogging ecosystem and social bookmarking to support off-page SEO and link building relevant to the businesses.
  • Drive to understand the business, brands, products, and target groups. Source and manage content development and publishing from various internal and external resources.
  • Proven ability to jump from the creative to analytical and to demonstrate why ideas are analytically sound. Thorough knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Superior time management, ability to multi-talk and work under pressure
  • Outstanding English copywriting skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Experience in technical copywriting a key advantage.
  • Outstanding team player with ability to work independently across multiple teams with the confidence to take the lead and guide others when necessary.
  • Expert level proficiency in Social Media management software such as Hootsuite.
  • Graphic design skills to create on-brand post graphics, animations, slideshows, videos are a bonus. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro), Aftereffects, Canva, Camtasia or similar software are desirable but not required.
