Job Description Summary

As a member of C&C Team, you will be responsible to manage the given scope of work from execution project i.e. Mechanical & Electrical Erection in the project including Site Management, Subcontractor & Client Billing / Claims, control of Rental Equipment’s and company Assets , Quality / EHS reviews, Site warehouse / Store Material Controls, Site Financials, statutory compliances etc., through proper co-ordination with multiple stake holder’s including suppliers and Erection contractors.
This is Fixed Term Contract role for 1 Year.

Job Description

Your Role

  • Execution of erection works related to discipline in charge, which are to be compliant with the time schedule and within the respective budget and satisfactory quality

  • Verify 3 months and 3 weeks look ahead subcontractor / partner and associated manpower

  • Checking of and promulgation of erection documentation to subordinate personnel.

  • Managing and maintaining the turn-over packages for commissioning within the discipline works.

  • Coordination for access to all areas within the scope of the discipline works by subordinate erection forces and by others.

  • Communicate directly with superiors and engineering to resolve and/or clarify any technical issues.

  • Verify subcontractors / partner site organization (staff, manpower, tools, equipment, EHS, Quality, …) are in accordance with the contract

  • Organize and attend regular meeting subcontractors / partners

  • Ensure consistency of correspondence with subcontractors / partners and regular review.

  • Regular review of disciple progress with subcontractors / partners ; define mitigation plan if necessary

  • Organize Site internal review with subcontractors / partners.

  • Compile remaining works and Punch-Item ; ensure diffusion

  • Maintain a comprehensive and detailed logbook of all relevant events.

  • Preparation and pre checks to ensure all materials are available and all required tools and equipment are available(applies to both subcontracting and Self Performance environments).

  • Communicate with Engineering to resolve and clarify any technical issue

  • Regular update of STS with Site Planner and OCM.

  • Conduct investigation and take remedial action within the scope of the discipline works of all variances, deviations,non-conformances, extra works, claims, non-budgeted costs etc. and coordination with the OCM and Site Contracts Manager and other site management to eliminate or minimize the cost impact to GE.

  • Verify Field Work Order consistency and cost (in accordance with subcontract)

  • Validate subcontractors timesheets

  • Prepare forecast for Site cost and manpower Actively manage all subordinate personnel, subcontractors and/or Self Performance erection forces to optimize the execution of the scope of the discipline works.

  • Control and approve timesheets of subordinated personnel.

  • Define and track objectives for subordinates.

  • Conduct regular assessment and appraisal.

  • Organize daily, weekly and monthly meeting with team.

  • Regular review of progress and planning with subordinate.

  • Implementation within the discipline’s scope of works of GE EHS and Quality policy. Providing co-workers with information about hazards, risks and elimination measures applicable to the site. Implementation of specific EHS Plan

  • Ensure quality plans (ITPL) are used by subordinate and subcontractors / partners as defined by GE. (including by performing spot auditing)

  • Ensure quality records progress in parallel of erection activity.

  • Check and review SWCF with quality department

  • Coordinate with QA/QC department all quality control on Site

  • Implement NCC/COPQ and forensic process.

  • Prepare data on overall progress, completed activity, forecast to completion, problem encountered, subcontractor’s performance- KPI, EHS report, NCC and Cost follow-up, material problems, manpower report, …

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  • Construction management appropriate to the technical activity involved with 10 years’ experience.

  • Previous experience as CM or equivalent lead role– EPC or subcontractor Company – in Power Plant Business or civil major company

Desired Qualifications

  • Problem solving methodology like 8D or equivalent

  • Strong in the management of Site erection team.

  • Has to show excellent capabilities in the explanation of complex technical and working processes.

  • Interpersonal and responsive
