Position Overview:
The Computer Teacher is responsible for imparting computer education to students, fostering digital literacy, and promoting the effective use of technology in the learning process. The role involves planning and delivering computer-related curriculum, guiding students in developing essential technology skills, and staying updated on advancements in the fields.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Design and develop a comprehensive computer education curriculum that aligns with educational standards and objectives.
· Integrate topics such as computer basics, programming, software applications, and digital citizenship.
· Create detailed lesson plans that cater to the varying skill levels of students.
· Utilize diverse teaching methods, interactive activities, and multimedia resources to enhance understanding.
· Establish and maintain an organized and inclusive learning environment.
· Implement effective strategies for managing student behaviour in a technology-rich classroom.
· Integrate technology into the curriculum, ensuring students are proficient in using computers, software applications, and online resources.
· Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding of computer concepts.
· Provide constructive feedback on assignments and projects, encouraging continuous improvement.
· Stay abreast of advancements in educational technology and Computer Science.
· Educate students on responsible and ethical use of technology.
· Promote awareness of cybersecurity, online safety, and digital etiquette.
· Facilitate or support computer-related clubs, coding competitions, and other extracurricular activities.
· Encourage students to pursue their interests in technology outside the regular curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMNETS:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Education with a focus on technology.
· Teaching certification.
· Proficiency in a variety of software applications, programming languages, and educational technology tools.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Enthusiasm for promoting digital literacy and Computer Science education.
