Job Description:
The Citrix Supervisor is both a hands-on technical and management role. The Supervisor will manage Russell Investments’ enterprise on-premises Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) platform and manage a team of technical Engineers. This is a critical IT Infrastructure role and will report to leadership in Seattle. Strong technical knowledge and experience with Citrix Administration is a must.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting a Citrix environment
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role managing Administrators or Engineers

Special Requirements
Occasional weekend and on-call support coverage

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of Citrix Engineers
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement Citrix projects, upgrades, migrations, and security patches
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and metrics
  • Day-to-day operational support and maintenance of the Citrix environment
  • Task delegation and work oversight of junior, intermediate, and senior level Engineers
  • Maintains detailed documentation and inventory of all managed environments
  • Responsible for timely on-call response to incidents

Candidate Requirements
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.
  • Experience in virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, etc.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • End to end ownership of all Citrix components and their configuration at each layer of the Citrix model (User, Access, Control, and Resource layers)
  • Identify and implement technologies, service packs and hotfixes that address security vulnerabilities, improve reliability, system stability, and performance for the CVAD environment
  • Mentor and train less experienced team members
  • Provide input regarding scalability, capacity and performance as usage grows
  • Design and implement process improvements involving the CVAD service
  • Create and maintain documentation on existing architectures, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Participation in CVAD road mapping sessions
  • Remain current with industry service and technology trends, costs, and strategies as well as Russell business drivers
  • Participate in other IT projects and/or tasks as needed
