Typical Day in the Life of a Citrix System Administrator
- Ability to troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate technical issues to other employees and management.
- Maintains accurate record of hardware and software deployments to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
- Provide Tier II support for the Help Desk.
- Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
- Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.
- Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the IT infrastructure.
Who you are
- Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- 4+ years of experience in the computer industry with networking and Microsoft Server background
- Knowledge of Windows server operating systems, networking protocols, virtualization technologies, cloud computing platforms, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Software Deployment and Windows Intune Modern Desktop Management tools.
- In-depth knowledge in different Citrix technologies such as XenApp, Xen Desktop, StoreFront, Provisioning services, Licensing, Studio, Web interface
- Excellent troubleshooting, verbal, written communication and technical documentation skills.
- Citrix, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft certifications a plus
