Job Overview
The CCO provides effective leadership to ensure compliance with Local, State, and National regulations and the continued development of systems and procedures. The CCO ensures ethical and responsible compliance and ongoing internal audit and governance practices.



Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide general supervision and management of the day-to-day compliance and auditing affairs of the company within the applicable guidelines.
  • Policies and Procedures Manual approved by the Board, consistent with decisions required prior to the approval of the Board.
  • To be continuously updated on the mandates, notices, and iterations issued by the Goods and Service Tax Council, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Ministry of corporate affairs (MCA), National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other competent bodies established to regulate FinTech.
  • Develop and propose new policies and procedures as needed to ensure compliance of the company.
  • Ensure the implementation of strong internal controls and report to Board in a timely manner on deviations from the compliance point or any parameters established by the Board.
  • Oversee and monitor the activities and corporate undertakings, consistent with the strategic direction of the company.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and appropriate disclosure of the company policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • Carry out any other appropriate duties and responsibilities assigned by the Board. Qualifications
  • Previous Experience as a Chief Compliance Officer or a similar field is strongly preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Master’s Degree preferred.
CPA, CIA, CFE, PMI-RMP or other appropriate credentials preferred.

Other Qualifications or Characteristics:

Ability to work under pressure and perform tasks with limited direction.
Ease at managing competing demands and determining top priorities independently.
Outstanding organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and interact on behalf of
Executive Team with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to work collaboratively with CEO, principals, and executive teammembersProactive and initiative-taking when completing tasks
