About the role
Your Impact as CAD Designer Engineer - Mechanical
I. ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- Machine part design experience
- Making assembly & detail manufacturing drawings of the machines & Process Lines in CreO software
- Start from concepts or examples and prepare predesigns & design
- 3D/2D uploading in Wind-chill (PDM) database
- Working according the Engineering standards of Bekaert
- Concept to 3D design completion
- 3D proposal as per the sketch
- 3D preparation as per the ref. drawings or existing models
- Drawing Standardization & Reengineering ( as per European norms)
- Technical Support to CFT (Assembly, Service engg, Spare part Sourcing engg.)
- Concept to commissioning of the various machines and Process Lines parts.
- Equivalent materials selection
- Critical part development support
- Onsite Inspection and quality checks of critical parts
- Drawing Passports & Inspection sheets
- Visits to Local plants and suppliers
- Prepare SOP for critical assemblies
- Able to adapt design for various upgrades like safety, process, cost reduction..etc
- Internal communication within team India, Belgium and other departments of engineering.
- Working in International team as an added advantage
II. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Education & Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience: B.E Mechanical
- Experience in machine design with any CAD software e.g. ProE, Catia, Creo, Auto CAD..etc
- Working knowledge of PDM tools e.g. PDM Wind-chill
- Knowledge of various manufacturing process with costing will be added value
- Working experience in SPM with Dynamic design rather than static design.

- Maintain and develop knowledge of machine and installation design through self-study and technical literature.
- Analyse issues
- Analyses designs and predesigns according to cost, functionality, and manufacturability and material choice.

- Listens very well and translates this in the right drawings.

- Works very accurate.

- Follows strictly the time planning of the design engineer.
