Job summary
SBM Pvt Ltd is setting up a Supply Chain Department in BangaloreLooking for a Buyer to source, negotiate, and purchase equipment/servicesEnsuring compliance with budget, schedule, quality, and technical requirements
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Lead the tender process and identify bidders that meet SBM's requirements• Collaborate with relevant disciplines to elaborate bid package• Perform vendor qualification process and issue RFQ• Analyze offers and facilitate discussions with bidders• Develop recommendations for bidder selection• Document the tendering process and ensure compliance• Set up package strategy and lead commercial negotiations• Conduct financial/commercial analysis and identify risks/opportunities• Ensure contractual protections and minimize risks• Manage claims with vendors and develop settlement plan
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Buyer in Oil and Gas or EPC company• Broad and deep procurement experience in Offshore, Marine, or Petrochemical Industry• Willingness to travel• Fluent in English
