About the Early Childhood Education Team
The ECE team at Central Square Foundation works towards providing quality Early Childhood Education for children aged 3-6 in India by:
- Generating rigorous and reliable evidence on the current status of learning in ECE at the national and state levels.
- Designing and implementing ECE programs at the state/district levels to enhance learning outcomes for children in pre-primary grades (ages 3-6).
Position Summary
CSF is looking for two Block Consultant based in Aligarh to support the district in the implementation of pre-primary learning in co-located Anganwadis. The role requires day-to-day interaction and working with Anganwadi Workers, School Principals and Block level officials and is a contract role based in Aligarh.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit the assigned Anganwadis on a daily basis to observe classes and collect data
- Support the Anganwadi Workers in understanding the usage of materials
- Mentor the Anganwadi Workers by providing feedback after classroom observations
- Document collected data on a regular basis for the timely reporting
- Participate in trainings, review meetings and other government led processes to enable smooth implementation
- Develop and manage strong working relationships with Anganwadi Workers, School Principals and Block level officials
- Perform other relevant tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree (in education/ social work preferred).
- Prior teaching experience is an advantage.
- Keen interest in the development/education sector.
- Fluent in Hindi with excellent reading and writing skills and working knowledge of English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while taking initiative and responsibility.
- Strong stakeholder management.
