  • Within UniOps, the Commercial Experience [ComEx] has always been a pioneering organisation - providing financial services across Unilever such as Record to Report (R2R), Source to Pay (P2P), Global Control Service Centre (GCSC), Supply Chain Finance Services (SCFS), Zero Based Budgeting (ZBB), Treasury, and Parent & Holding Controls (TRC). 

  • While ComEx has focused in the past on Unilever well established businesses, it is now extending its scope of Finance operations aligned with the Future Target operating model to businesses operating on different ERP environment to account for its complexities.

  • Heath & Wellbeing [H&W] – is a collective of 7 brands acquired over the last 4 years – Liquid IV, Nutrafol, VMS – Olly, Smarty Pants, Onnit & Welly and Equilibra, which is poised to reach global Turnover of $ 2bn in 2023 and having an ambition of reaching Turnover of $ 5bn by 2030. At present, each of these 7 brands are operating as independent entity and on different ERPs.

  • In order to deliver against the mission of the Health & Wellbeing, one of the strategic choice made is to bring all these brands onto one common ERP platform – Microsoft Dynamics 365 [D365] and run finance operations through a centralized expertise team. This team will be accountable for accounting, reporting, and finance operations across the entirety of the Health & Wellbeing Collective and business partners to technology, route-to-market operations, and operating company and group finance teams.

  • Bill To Cash (BTC) Transformation lead will be the Subject Matter Expert for Accounts Receivable [AR] processes across Health & Wellbeing. This role is responsible in transforming current reality of disparate accounting and finance operations teams, technology, and processes migrating towards the end-state operating model of mapping all finance processes on to common core technology (Microsoft D365 ERP) and key financial and accounting systems (KFAS) and facilitating finance organization transformation into in-market finance operations center of excellence and an out-of-market shared service capability.

Main Accountabilities


Bill To Cash Transformation lead will focus on:


  • Partnering Controlling Transformation Lead of each business vertical in resolving non-compliant AR processes, aligning AR Process & activity calendar that compliments Day 1 month end close, strengthening compliance to AR specific finance controls in current state while transforming to end state.

  • Design and deploy the end state capabilities for AR processes on common core technology [Microsoft D365 ERP] and on relevant Key Financial and Accounting Systems [KFAS] thereby establishing and aligning common process standards across H&W that suits to the end state finance operating model.

  • Lead a team accountable to document end-to-end AR processes in detail, covering current & new ways of working and specific & step by step details on control compliance requirements.

  • Lead the scoping exercise to finalize the list of AR activities that are in scope for Finance Operations collective organization to operate and manage the transition from individual OpCo through effective governance resulting in no / least business disruption.

The successful H&W Process and Operations Transformation Lead will be the enabler, continuously developing a detailed roadmap for finance process evolution, be a catalyst to drive the change management, and a steward and operator to deliver the expected business outcomes.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Design Finance processes and Data model for Accounts Receivable processes [AR] that fit the needs of the business in regard to increasing growth, flexibility, scale, and complexity while adhering to all reporting, accounting, audit, and risk management requirements. AR processes includes Pricing, Revenue recognition, Trade Promotion Management, Collections & Cash application and AR ageing analysis.

  • Bring in design thinking and process re-engineering skills to drive digital transformation in Finance which involves making choices on process standardization, automation and Continuous improvement.

  • Develop robust process documentation covering end-to-end AR processes across H&W clearly highlighting process exceptions – if any, cross functional dependencies and requirements of full audit compliance.

  • Bring thought leadership in Financial Accounting, Reporting and Controls by leveraging forward looking practices from the industry.

  • Design process specific Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] enabling to measure the effectiveness of process compliance and Operation effectiveness relevant for the business vertical.

  • Develop a community, culture, and way of working with a large, diverse, and geographically dispersed team.
