Job Description for Backend Software Engineer / Developer
Experienced in :
- Web Application Development using Python and associated frameworks (FastAPI, Flask)
- Working with NoSQL/SQL database (MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
- Designing server-side applications and systems
- Containerising applications using docker
Preferred Experience in :
- Building and working with Text Search Engines (Apache Solr/Elasticsearch)
- Building Semantic search engines for a Big Data dataset
- Big Data processing and associated frameworks (Apache Spark/pyspark)
- Utilising Natural language processing algorithms to build comparison and ranking algorithms.
Operational Competencies :
- Software development lifecycle
- Git/GitHub for Version control management and releases
