Your Role and Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will include (but not limited to):
Build the world's most secure system via Z systems which helps customers to deploy their application, also provide a platform to deploy Private Cloud, Stand-alone systems hosting mission critical application, also to defend against threats like Cyber Threats, etc and making the enablement experience quicker and easier.
- Design and develop features related to Security and Compliance
- Develop System Software to take the complexity and ambiguity out of compliance audits with automated fact collection and clear 1:1 mappings of regulations.
- Conquer compliance drift.
- Speedup audit readiness.
- Automated tracking stays current, even as regulations drift. A unified dashboard tracks ongoing compliance.
- Develop State of Art GUI / dashboard
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 10+ years of development experience with atleast 6 years of relevant experience in z Systems Development (z/OS architecture) in security domain.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in Design, Architecture, Development & Sizing projects.
- Java/J2EE, REST API & microservices development.
- Must have good understanding of Linux OS concepts (Unix internals)
- Experience of cloud and on-prem application development using Containers (virtualisation), Dockers.
- Understanding of DevOps (Continuous Integration).
- Understanding of software development life cycle and delivery process and source control management (Jira, Git, etc.)
- Good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a global team environment.
- Ability to guide a team of lesser experienced professionals
- Excellent Communication, people management and leadership skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- C/C++ Javascript
- Experience in Unix system such as Shell, Python.
- Any experience on Device Drivers, File Systems, Storage management / Networking is added advantage.

In our IBM location in Pune or Gandhinagar we have an opening within the IBM Z Security and Compliance Center. The development team is focused on developing Enterprise Software on IBM Z & LinuxONE platform. As a developer you will be working on the product ZSCC which is primarily focused on Protecting customer's business data against cyberthreats inside customers data center and throughout the hybrid-cloud with IBM Z / LinuxONE.
Our main focus would be on Continuous compliance:
- Translation of regulations to IBM Z-specific controls add clarity.
- A centralised, interactive dashboard displays baseline standards.
- Time-stamped evidence can be captured for a variety of industries.
Also, our customers can boost their efficiency via Customisable compliance frameworks, Enterprise-level compliance, Identify compliance misconfigurations, Native evidence writing, Keep data on platform and Centralized dashboard.
This job requires you to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated prior to your start date and proof of vaccination status will be required before your start date.
