Job description

A Process Improvement lead in J.P. Morgan’s Core Fees Products & Services is an integral component of supporting the Global Wealth Management Fees business. This position focuses on continuously assessing processes, risks, and controls, identifying opportunities for improvements, acting as Control Champion (including but not limit to overseeing Controls, Procedures, User Tools/Intelligent Automation, Checklist, Business Resiliency, Audit, and Issues Management support) as well as managing projects. 


Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  • Conduct control reviews to ensure appropriate controls exist for all processes and facilitate the identification of Process Improvements to create efficiencies.
  • Collaborate directly with various subject matter experts in Fees Team to document front to back processes.
  • Liaise with the Wealth Management Control Management team on planning and completion of Control Review.
  • Provide oversight of data and procedures to ensure procedures are following annual review and meta data are accurate including modeling procedures via Signavio tool.
  • Provide oversight of Fees Resiliency Plan, User Tools, System Access, and Annual User Attestation. 
  • Assist Operations management team with governance of internal and external audits, as needed.
  • Assist with the issue analysis, issue documentation and present issue at IRM forum as needed.
  • Consolidate metrics / MIS reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications include:


  • Adaptable with the ability to come up to speed quickly on new subject matter.
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative with the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and take ownership of assignments with minimal direction.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while working effectively under pressures controlled by deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
  • Team player with excellent organization and project management skills.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to consistent quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to analyze complex problems / scenarios, identify root cause and determine remediation steps.
  • Capacity to successfully identify risks and control deficiencies.
  • Ability to create effective process flow documentation.
  • Effective issue resolution and decision-making skills.

Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint with proficiency in Signavio being a plus.
