Organizational Overview:

This role is a part of Recovery Operations Analytics team that supports all the process teams under the broader Recovery Operations Organization such as Agency, Legal, Debt Sales, Debt Settlements, Inhouse collections, Bankruptcy and Estate. All these teams work cross functionally supporting Collections & Recovery and our larger business goals. As part of the team, you will also have opportunity to interact with the Recovery Strategy and Forecasting teams as well as the senior leadership.

Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP Recovery Performance and Operational Insights is responsible for leading a team of analysts in developing reporting solutions, KPI dashboards and delivering advanced analytics and Operational Insights influencing the Recovery Performance. This leader will combine knowledge of financial services, collections/recovery domain expertise and analytical skills to deliver on diverse set of initiatives. This role supports all processes within the recovery operations department and will require senior level communication, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to inspire the reporting/analytics team to great performance. This role also expects hands-on exposure to deliver on certain analytics projects independently.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and mentor a team which provides business intelligence and reporting support to the recovery operations department.

· Be a strong collaborator and partner with staff and stakeholders to understand business challenges and needs that can be resolved by the delivery of dashboards or other BI solutions.

· Ensure timely and accurate delivery of production reports and dashboards.

· Provide insights into recovery KPI trends, identify process improvement opportunities.

· Promote control & efficiency across all recovery functions through process analysis and optimization.

· Partner with the recovery strategy team in creation and enhancement of key reports, dashboards, and visualization methodologies, acting as a subject matter expert and champion of data

· driven decisions.

· Protect the company with sound process controls and governance.

· Provide analytic support to the group through the utilization of data mining skills and business knowledge.

· Ability to write complex SQL code as well as query data from multiple data sources, including but not limited to Oracle and MS SQL, to produce compelling BI products.

· Investigate cutting edge reporting and visualization tools and technology to ease access to data and provide more insight into our customers and accounts. Adapt best data visualization

· practices.

· Be proactive and leverage data analytics to derive actionable insights for continuous improvement.

· Provide recommendations to improve the end users experience by improving current BI solutions.

· Work closely with other technical resources to provide technical design recommendations on data mart structures and other back-end requirements supporting analytical applications.

· Stay current with enabling technologies and work as a partner to promote their use.

· Clear and concise communication with the senior leadership teams.

· Support regulatory data requests as required.

· Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

· Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, or in lieu of a degree 8+years of experience in business intelligence.

· 6+ years of experience with BI applications; query and reporting, online analytical processing, statistical analysis, forecasting, data mining, and data visualization

· 4+ years experience leading a team of analysts or programmers.

· 3+ years demonstrated success developing and delivering advanced analytics.

· 3+ years collections and/or recovery experience

· 4+ Years of experience in using Analytical software, such as Python, R, or SAS

· 4+ years of experience with Tableau

· 4+ years of SQL and SAS experience.

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

· Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

· Strong communications, problem solving skills & attention to detail.

· Advanced programming and visualization skills.

· Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and deliver creative results.

· Experience working with large amounts of data.

· Regulatory and audit support.

· 4+ years of experience with tools and techniques for managing data.

· 4+ years with Microsoft Office.

· Agile development experience

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, or in lieu of a degree 8+years of experience in business intelligence.

Work Timings:

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
