Job Summary:
The Sales Associate plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service and driving sales
within the automotive spare parts retail store. This position involves assisting customers,
providing product information, processing transactions, and maintaining a positive shopping
experience.
Key responsibilities:
Customer Assistance:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Provide product information, features, and benefits to help customers make informed
- Assist customers in locating and selecting automotive spare parts.
Sales and upselling:
- Actively engage customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Promote upselling and cross-selling of related products to maximize sales.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.
Transaction processing:
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit card, and electronic payments.
- Issue receipts and ensure correct change is given.
Product knowledge:
- Knowledgeable about the features and specifications of automotive spare parts.
- Attend training sessions to enhance product knowledge.
- Assist customers in identifying the right parts for their vehicles.
Merchandize and stocking:
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
- Monitor stock levels and restock shelves as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation.
Customer service and excellence:
- Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges following company policies.
- Ensure a positive and memorable shopping experience.
- Collaborate with other sales associates and store staff to achieve overall store goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members and share knowledge.
- Support team initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualification and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in auto retail is necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Enthusiastic and customer-focused attitude.
- Knowledge of automotive spare parts is a must
