Role Overview
As the Automotive Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of logistics and supply chain operations within our organization. Your primary focus will be to ensure the smooth and efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of vehicles, parts, and accessories.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management: Coordinate and manage the end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive products.
- Transportation Coordination: Arrange and manage transportation logistics for incoming and outgoing vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal routing to minimize costs.
- Inventory Control: Implement and maintain inventory control measures to manage stock levels effectively, conducting regular audits and ensuring accuracy in inventory records.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of automotive parts and accessories.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of logistics personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement within the logistics function, implementing best practices accordingly.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation related to transportation, inventory, and supply chain activities.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience 2+ as an Automotive Logistics Coordinator within the logistics or supply chain management field.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, including transportation, inventory management, and vendor relations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive performance and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office suite; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
