Desired Skills and experience
Over 3-5 years of relevant development experience in Microsoft SQL server. Strong experience in stored procedures, cursors, triggers, error handling, index, joins etc
Masters / Bachelors in Computer Applications / Technology, Bachelors in Engineering
Microsoft SQL Server development (primary skill)
Writing T- SQL query, strong experience in stored procedures, cursors, triggers, error handling, index, joins etc
Advanced Excel
Basic MS Access database knowledge
Good to have experience - Google cloud and Tableau
Key Responsibilities
- Build data marts for trading and equity research data. Need a strong hold on building stored procedures in SQL Server
- Acquire proprietary data from on-prem data warehouses
- Manage data flow from major database platforms such as SQL Server, Big Query etc
- Understand the logics of various business fields/columns and implement them
- Make modifications to the logics based on user requirements. Also, undertake data mart requests.
- Experience in migrating reports from one platform to another platform.
- Experience of understanding the framework of on-prem database structure and the related tables/views.
- Maintain extract, transform, load (ETL) processes connecting data warehouses to analytical platforms
- Create centralized and bespoke data marts and evaluate ongoing automation of underlying manual processes
- Investigate underlying data sets and derive actionable analytical insights using quantitative techniques
- Efficiently lead the client calls on a daily basis
- Be proactive and independent, able to work on projects with minimum inputs from senior stakeholders
- Evaluate and ensure quality of deliverables within defined timelines
- Ensure meticulous documentation of processes, meta data, query logics, and results
