Provides human resources consultation assistance to an assigned business area/unit. Works under the guidance of management in the application of corporate policies related to human resources, organisational and employee advancement. Administers talent management and succession planning activities within the organisation. Assists with less complex initiatives and activities related to human resources.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to HRBPs in delivering HR services and support to employees and managers.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have a smooth and positive experience.
  • Handle basic employee relations matters and escalate more complex issues to HRBPs.
  • Support the performance management process, including goal-setting and performance reviews.
  • Assist in organizing training sessions and development programs for employees.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures and assist in compliance-related activities.
  • Maintain employee data and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare HR reports and data analysis as requested by HRBPs and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, collaborating with the HR team and other departments.
  • Participate in employee engagement activities and initiatives to foster a positive work culture.
  • Identify training and development needs and assist in implementing relevant programs.
  • Utilize HR technology systems and tools to perform HR-related tasks and data management.
  • Assist in managing organisational change initiatives and communicating changes to employees.
  • Assist with the development of the annual staff cost budgets by providing advice on market related pay and anticipated workforce changes.
  • Work closely with all HR centres of excellence to coordinate all facets of hr.
  • Learn to use data for analysis and trend establishment to understand performance and productivity drivers in the relevant employee base.
  • Ensure both HR and business managers have the information they need related to running the talent aspects of their organisations.


Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Basic understanding of HR functions, processes, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Developing knowledge of HR Processes
  • Basic knowledge of performance appraisal processes and performance improvement techniques.
  • Awareness of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and software for data management and HR administration.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze HR-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Thoroughness in handling HR documentation and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Collaboration with HR colleagues and Business Partners to achieve common goals.
  • Efficiently manage tasks and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • A focus on providing quality HR support and service to employees.
  • Willingness to adapt to changes and embrace new HR initiatives.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the HR field.
  • Upholding ethical standards in all HR practices and decision-making.


Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
  • Relevant vendor certifications would be advantageous
  • Agile HR certification preferred
  • Professional in Human Resources certification


Required Experience:

  • Entry-level experience in similar human resources positions
  • Basic experience working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at different levels in the business
  • Familiarity of current HR talent management practices, including learning and development, recruitment and engagement
  • Basic experience of HR technologies including some experience in HRIS, LMS, e-Recruitment and Payroll systems
