The opportunity

The Associate Director of API Production at Malanpur (Gwalior) site is a pivotal leadership role, overseeing manufacturing operations of entire site including ETP operations, Solvent recovery block (SRP), Central documentation, central dispensing, and central term movement and operational excellence. This role, reporting to the Site General Manager, demands a combination of technical expertise and strong management skills.Comprehensive knowledge of quality standards in API pharmaceutical manufacturing/Advance intermediates/CMO Business Model.Ability to interact with and influence the Site Leadership Team and other stakeholders for site changes.

How you'll spend your day

  • Leads & implements the site transformation Strategy, Master Plan, and Governance in support of Site Strategy and KPIs
  • Leading step change and driving organization effectiveness to meet and exceed site KPI targets relative to Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost Competitiveness
  • Manage the production of APIs and intermediates in line with the production plan, ensuring efficiency in productionunits.
  • Implement and guide OPEX tools for enhanced efficiency and cost reduction with both short- & long-termstrategy.
  • Track financial and operational impact benefits on a regional level problem solves with sites when on critical projects and ensures efficiency plans in place.
  • Lead and train the OPEX team, serving as a change agent and incorporating global standards.
  • Meet production targets as per Annual operating plan and train team site team on SOPs, lean tools, and processes. Develop site plans with the global transformation team.
  • Coordinate with departments such as Safety, QA/QC, Engineering, Warehouse, and Finance to support continuous improvement at the site.
  • Liaise with R&D & Manufacturing science & Technology for seamless product transitions of new & Site Transfer from Globalsites.
  • Lead a team of over 200employees+.
  • Strong skills in performance management, guiding teams, and initiating learning and development.
  • Liaise with different departments and familiarize with the Factories Act and compliance for manufacturing operations in API.

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor's plus Masters of Science in Chemistry, BE in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Profound understanding of production procedures in API & advance intermediate industry with strong command on GMP Best Practices and Standard of EHS.
  • Strong stakeholder management and coaching abilities.
  • Experience in handling teams and understanding various human management processes.
  • Serve as a mentor and guide, responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of the team & Product in alignment to support Business continuity.
