Position Summary

The Procurement Associate Manager is part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) Team reporting to Senior Manager. He or She is responsible for supporting new product launches for the pharmaceuticals GBU and will be a source of knowledge for category management, suppliers, and procurement processes. This role is a critical Procurement function that enables successful product launches by structuring procurement strategies for CMOs and primary packaging materials, recommending the appropriate suppliers for each product and territory of launch and ensuring their readiness as part of a cross functional team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Manager to execute Pharmaceuticals Procurement strategy for CMOs and primary packaging materials.
  • Assist with new supplier identification, development, onboarding, and new program implementation efforts.
  • Support Senior Manager with CDA, price, and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare Request for proposals (RFP) for identified programs.
  • Manage procurement of primary packaging and secondary packaging materials for NPI projects.
  • Leads and supports continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives related to procurement processes for NPI
  • Represent procurement within project core teams and program reviews for assigned projects.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7 – 10 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D and/or Project Management in a regulated market desired.
  • Competent in project management role – able to handle multiple projects
  • Self-starter and result-orientated, have passion with “Can-Do-Attitude”
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, pro-active personality
  • Ability to engage and support key stakeholders through the procurement process.
  • Ability to work efficiently with virtual teams
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
