Job Description:
The Assistant Professor, Department of Pedagogy of Physical Science will play a critical role in contributing to the academic excellence and development of students in the department. The individual will be responsible for teaching and delivering high-quality course content in the field of Physical Science education and conducting research to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Physical Science education
- Develop and implement course content that aligns with the department's vision and mission
- Mentor students in their academic and professional development
- Conduct research in the field of Physical Science education
- Publish research findings in academic journals and present at conferences
- Engage in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote student success and academic excellence
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Physical Science Education or a related field
- Strong teaching experience in Physical Science education
- A record of high-quality research in the field of Physical Science education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and community partners
