Job Title
Manager - Service Parts Management
Role Overview:
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Service Engineering deliverables like Maintenance and Service Sales Order specifying, Identifying alternate parts to replace obsolete parts. He is also responsible for new package development which includes field trials, Qualififying, and release to field. The role requires coordination with National Service Center (NSC)/ Sourcing / Factory / Field / Regions.
On a typical day you will:
- Coordination and development of innovative products based on latest technologies
- Ensure the quality standards of product development as per Organization requirement
- Ensure the development of new products are well within the development cycle as required
- Coordinate with Service team for new package development
- Coordinate with Field Operations and Sourcing for new product development and testing
- Coordinate with NSC for clearing / development of non-standard parts
- Coordinate with NSC for alternate part development towards discontinued parts
- Ensure timely clearance of IMRs / Specifying
- Coordinate with Factory for new product released for Service Inventory
- Preparation of non-standard drawings as and when required
Key Skills:
- Analytical Skills: As a Service Engineering Executive, he should be able to work and solve issues through Problem solving methods and find clear solution. Required to do data analysis especially for Mechanical and Electronics spare parts / product development
- Should have very good interpersonal skills to coordinate with all stake holders
- Communication Skill: Good and productive two-way communication between team members.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Educational qualification and requirements listed below is representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred : B.E. - Electronics Engineering / Electro Mechanical
- Required : Diploma - Electronics Engineering
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years experience in supporting development of elevator products
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Should be a good team player
- Ability to motivate team through active involvement
- Proficient with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
ANY OTHER KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES IF REQUIRED
SAP / JD Edwards system skills will be an added advantage
