Job description

Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership on availability & Decision-making: The CTO must be accessible and responsive, ensuring continuous support to the team for decision-making and troubleshooting needs.
- Problem-Solving Acumen: Demonstrated capability to innovate and deliver in the CDN domain, encompassing high-speed and optimized network solutions, DDoS mitigation, and addressing issues arising from clients or products.
- Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of CDN, and proficiency in at least two of the following areas: DevOps, Network Architecture, Senior Engineering with multilingual capability, and Project/Product Management.
Technical Skills:
Ops:
- Manage and automate over 200 CDN edge nodes using tools like ansible, ensuring reliable operations through advanced monitoring systems.
- Resolve network issues and optimize client networks.
- Design a real-time mitigation system leveraging fail2ban, crowdsec, and firewalls, ensuring scalability and resilience against network threats.
- Use tools such as Grafana, Big Data log systems, and Zabbix to monitor systems, alert potential threats, and respond swiftly to issues.
Dev:
- Lead a multi-language R&D team to pioneer CDN solutions like client portals, edge node configuration systems, monitoring tools, and associated communication protocols.
- Conduct code reviews and assist the development team in overcoming complex challenges.
- Research and integrate open-source solutions as needed.
- Marketing-Centric Troubleshooting:
- Address client grievances and potential system instabilities.
- Synthesize issues to devise holistic and lasting solutions.
- Respond and act on opportunities to expand market reach.
