Objectives of this role
- Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure
- Understanding the needs of customer and implement solutions.
- Working on ways to automate and improve integration and release processes.
- Writing unit tests for the code that is developed.
- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
- Working with software developers and ensuring the tools follows established processes and works as intended.
Responsibilities :
- Debug build failures and identify the issue.
- Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve process.
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues.
- Design procedures for build system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Android development and a strong understanding of the Android ecosystem (MUST HAVE)
- Proficiency in Android SDK, Soong build system (MUST HAVE)
- Experience with Android libraries, frameworks, and patterns.
- Experience as an Android engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
- Good knowledge of C++ or RUST
