Job Description
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Design and execute test cases and capture results.
- Manage and report issues from the various test phases.
- Review test artifacts and maintain required logs.
- Seek to clarify and clearly communicate issues or problems.
- Participate in the pre / post deployment tests.
- Contribute to management in metrics computation and other data needs.
- Extend help to cross functional teams whenever required.
- Design and execute automation scenarios and cascade the findings.
- Help the management in conducting proof of concepts.
- Send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly etc.) to the Client.
- Attend the regular client call and discuss the weekly status with the client.
- Communication with the Client (If required).
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- Minimum 2 years experience on manual and automated testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with web and mobile testing preferred.
- Knowledge of the Financial Industry preferred.
- Previous Agile/Scrum Team experience is preferred.
- Exposure in development/scripting skills in common languages like Python will be advantage
- Exposure to any of automated testing tools, like Selenium, QTP, Rational Robot, etc.
- Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.
Skills/Other Personal Attributes Required:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills a must.
- A forward thinking mindset with strong interest in quality assurance.
- Curiosity and persistence to dig deeper with a “test to break” attitude.
- Possess the ability to find problems.
- Strong interest in understanding the business requirements and focus on ensuring the application is delivering what the business needs.
- Strong computer / MS Office technical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and atleaset four years of work experience in software quality assurance.
License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
- None
Working Conditions:
- Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.
- The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary.
- Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.
