Roles & Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer, Planning, at the aerospace casting manufacturing company, plays a crucial role in developing and executing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for aerospace castings. The Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer will be responsible for generating Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports through the ERP system. This role requires meticulous planning, scheduling and coordination with various departments to ensure smooth execution of production plan.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create the Master Production Schedule (MPS) by outlining the production plan for aerospace castings over a specific time horizon in NetSuite.
2. Developing comprehensive pattern preparation plans for both Rapid Cast and 3D Print Cast processes.
3. Scheduling of raw materials on a weekly basis, based on orders shared with the production department.
4. Create Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports through the ERP system and generate quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily production plan and share it with purchase and production department for both direct raw material and consumables (Welding, Electrodes, Ceramic).
5. Collaborating with the CAD department to understand tooling requirements for casting development.
6. Regularly updating the outstanding order report in Excel by extracting relevant information from the sales order bookings.
7. Generating sample reports and release them in Synchro (production planning software); generate route cards in Synchro and release them to production.
8. Handling documentation work related to AS9100 audits for planning department.
9. Collaborating with the dispatch team to prepare effective plans for order shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
10. Generate regular Plan vs Actual report to track variance in production and highlight it to Plant Head and production team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and Certifications:

Bachelors degree in engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• 4 to 8 years of proven experience in Production Planning and Scheduling in foundries or casting manufacturing operations.
• Experience in MRP preparation for the aerospace industry or precision castings industry will be highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience on any ERP platform preferably NetSuite.

Technical / Functional Expertise & other competencies:

• Proficient in Planning and Scheduling of activities in foundry and casting manufacturing industry,
• Advanced skills in ERP/ Excel to efficiently update and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS), and outstanding order report derived from sales order bookings.
• Strong understanding of AS9100/ISO9001 standards for documentation related to planning and scheduling.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication skills, assertiveness and confidence for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
