- The Provisional Distribution Manager is a temporary or interim position responsible for overseeing and managing distribution operations during a transitional period, such as a reorganization, expansion, or leadership change

- Key Responsibilities:Distribution Strategy Transition: Assist in transitioning and implementing new distribution strategies or processes as directed by senior management or during a period of change
- Inventory Assessment: Evaluate existing inventory levels, stock rotation, and storage practices to ensure optimal inventory management
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate transportation, shipping, and delivery processes, making adjustments to routes, carriers, and schedules as necessary to maintain efficiency
- Team Supervision: Provide guidance and leadership to distribution staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities during the transitional period
- Quality Control: Maintain and enhance quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards throughout the distribution process
- Budget Management: Assist in managing distribution budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and documentation requirements
- Customer Service: Address and resolve distribution-related issues promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction during the transitional period
- Technology Utilization: Work with existing distribution management software and technologies, seeking opportunities to improve tracking, reporting, and overall efficiency
- Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with the management team to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of distribution operations

- Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field; master's degree is a plus
- Previous experience in distribution management, preferably in a relevant industry
