Job Description
The ideal candidate should have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills and proficiency in financial software and spreadsheets. As an Accounts and Audit Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to financial transactions, record keeping, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
· Process and record financial transactions
· Accounts receivable and payable
· General ledger maintenance
· Bank reconciliation
· Assist with financial reporting
· Expense tracking and analysis
· Perform audit procedures in various areas of the balance sheet and income statement, including cash and bank, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payables, related parties, loans, revenue, payrolls, tax and expense analysis.
· Work alongside Managers and senior members as a member of an engagement team.
· Discuss relevant audit issues with senior colleagues and personnel at clients' premises, bringing a new and creative perspective to their key concerns and how changes in regulation may affect them.
· Create a positive relationship with the client, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and dealing with any communications in a timely and professional manner.
· Understand the business, assess risks, scope audits, identify and understand significant processes, devise audit approaches, conduct controls testing, and substantive testing.
· Work with clients at their sites, understand how they work and the challenges they face, and help them mitigate risks, improve financial reporting processes, and work more effectively.
Requirements:
· Looking for candidates with expertise in KSA VAT and tax legislation, or a keen interest in acquiring knowledge and comprehension of KSA tax regulations and adherence is essential for this role.
· Proven experience as an Accounts and Audit Associate or similar role for minimum 3 years.
· Proficiency in financial software such as Tally, Zoho Books & Xero is a must.
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
· Candidates from CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA background
· Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred).
